Chaufmen Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

By using Chaufmen's services, you agree to these terms and conditions. You confirm that you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts and are at least 18 years old.

2. Bookings

  • All bookings require confirmation via email by an authorized Chaufmen representative
  • Changes to agreed journeys may incur additional charges
  • Customers must select appropriate vehicles for their passenger count and luggage
  • All flight details and contact information must be accurate
  • Online bookings are subject to Chaufmen's approval
  • Prices and availability are subject to change without notice
  • Additional charges apply for toll roads, parking, and congestion charge zones

3. Vehicle and Safety

  • Vehicles will not carry more passengers than licensed for
  • All baggage must fit within the boot for safety reasons
  • Small children require appropriate restraints (additional charges apply)
  • Child seat storage: £15
  • Child seat provision: £20
  • Strict non-smoking policy in all vehicles
  • Minimum £250 charge for vehicle soiling or spillages

4. Cancellation Policy

  • 24+ hours notice: No charge
  • 12-24 hours notice: 50% of quoted price
  • Less than 12 hours notice: 100% of quoted price
  • No refunds for cancellations under 12 hours

5. Waiting Time

  • Address collections: 10-15 minutes maximum
  • Airport/seaport collections: 30-60 minutes (depending on class)
  • No-show fee: 100% of booking charge plus £30-£60 per hour waiting time

6. Payment

  • Accepted methods: Debit/credit cards and PayPal
  • Payment must be received prior to travel
  • All major credit cards accepted

7. Journey Conditions

  • Drivers follow legal speed limits and safety regulations
  • Service may be refused to passengers under influence of alcohol/drugs
  • No verbal or physical abuse towards staff
  • Company not liable for delays due to:
    • Traffic conditions
    • Weather events
    • Vehicle breakdown
    • Road closures
    • Other events beyond our control

8. Fraud Prevention

We reserve the right to cancel bookings if we suspect fraudulent activity, including:

  • Inability to provide full journey details
  • Unauthorized card use
  • Previous fraudulent activity
  • Erroneous booking information
  • Multiple failed payment attempts

9. Liability

  • Customer property is carried at owner's risk
  • Customers responsible for damage to vehicles
  • Company not liable for delays beyond our control
  • Subcontracted vehicles may be used during peak times
